We spent 4 nights here in April 2024, seeking a mini retreat while we were in Mumbai for a wedding. We landed in Thiruvananthapuram airport and took a taxi from the airport. Google maps was our friend as the resort was not familiar to them. The directions provided by google were accurate and it took about 90 minutes to reach there. We had requested for early (11:00 am) check in but unfortunately the rooms were not available till 1pm. The resort staff welcomed us warmly and directed us to the breakfast hall to have a quick buffet breakfast, which was very welcome as we had caught the flight a 5am and were really hungry. We then spent time in the air conditioned sport hall/ gym till we were given our rooms. We had got rooms very close to the main entrance, which were newly built and overlooked the lake from a private balcony. The resort also has a Ayurveda Spa which offers ***y treatments. Dr. Reju Ravindran Acharya took us through all the options and my wife and I opted for the couples package with an additional treatment for each of us for a session for nearly 2 hours. We really enjoyed the session and came out feeling really rejuvenated. I highly recommend taking advantage of this offering from the resort. The food was amazing. We took Half board so breakfast as well as dinner or lunch was part of our package. The kitchen staff (Ms. Sona) went out of the way to cater to us and recommended the dishes so we could try out new things. We love South Indian food so this was food heaven for us. The Malabar parathas and the various curries were to die for, The resort has plenty of paths and a wide variety of plants and trees and it was really great to see Rose Apples, ***goes, Cashew trees growing in the resort. The resort ***ager (Mr. ***n) also went out of the way to make arrangements for us to see the backwaters (another attraction here) as their motor boat had broken down, The front desk team (Mr. Abhilash, Ms. Sanusha and Ms. Leeba) also took care of booking the taxi for us for local excursions (Jatayu earth centre and Varkala Beach Cliff) and our return to the airport. We were made to feel part of the family and the resort team also arranged a small cake to bid us farewell on our last night. Overall, this was a visit which we really enjoyed and we think we will certainly visit gain if we are in that part of Kerala again,
